Vena Juanita Hiatt, 87 of Coffeyville, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008. A Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:45 p.m., Friday, March 14th at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel where her family will greet friends from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. prior. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Calvary Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas. Father Jerome Spexarth will be officiating. Juanita was born January 19, 1921 at Pershing, Oklahoma to Daniel Boone and Gladys Erma Crisp Hornback. She moved to Coffeyville with her parents in 1930 and attended Coffeyville schools. She worked for Page Milk Company for 26 years, and for Funk Manufacturing from 1980 to 1986. She was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church and the Altar Society of the Church. Survivors include her daughter, Caroline Erma Deller of Coffeyville; sister, Edith Y. Brown of Coffeyville, and 4 nieces and 4 nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents and brother, Daniel B. Hornback. Memorials are requested to be given to the Holy Name Catholic Church or to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
