Vera Cochran

Vera L. Cochran, 89, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 at CRMC. Vera was born on September 11, 1922 at Humboldt, Iowa to Anton and Edith Thompson. She grew up and attended school in Coffeyville, Kansas where she graduated high school. During the years she was employed by Continental Can, Interstate Bakeries and Hargrove Auto Supply. On July 13, 1942 she was united in marriage to William F. Cochran in Long Beach, California. Surviving to honor her memory is her son, Larry D. Cochran of Coffeyville, Kansas daughterinlaw, Carolyn Cochran of San Antonio, Texas sister, Lorene Watson of Leavenworth, Kansas brothers, Wallace Thompson of Kenmore, New York, Arnold Thompson of Sacramento, California and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Anton and Edit loving husband, William son, Ronald L. Cochran four sisters and four brothers. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery Veterans Patio. Friends may call on Monday, July 16, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Funeral Home in Coffeyville to sign the guest register. Family will greet friends Monday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the donors charity of choice these may be left with the funeral home.
