Vernon Kuehn

Vernon H. Kuehn, 81, of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Rosburg officiating. The burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Coffeyville under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Memorials may be made payable to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and left in care of the funeral home.

Vernon was born April 4, 1934 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Earnest Edward and Alma Dorothy (Bachleman) Kuehn. He attended and graduated from Lenapah Public School. Vernon is a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He was employed as a mechanic and later became self-employed as a farmer/rancher on his farm in rural South Coffeyville. Vernon enjoyed working in the garden, inventing new things that he found to be useful around the ranch, working on old cars, playing Pitch, watching the races, and spending time with family and friends.

Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, Walter, Alvin, Marvin, Ervin, Harold, Raymond, and Earnest Jr., and by two sisters Edna and Dena. Survivors include his wife Gloria, of the home, five sons, Donnie and wife Cindy Kuehn, Childers, OK, Jerald and wife Barbara Kuehn, South Coffeyville, OK, Terry and wife Sherre Kuehn, Wann, OK, Jimmy Kuehn, South Coffeyville, OK, and Derrick and wife Kristen Kuehn, South Coffeyville, OK, two daughters Connie and husband Kevin Trotter, South Coffeyville, OK, and Sherri and husband Benny Smith, Rudy, AR, and numerous grand and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Vernon will be greatly missed by his many family and friends.
