Victor Purkey

Victor Ray Purkey of Coffeyville passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 at CRMC in Coffeyville. He was 43. Victor was born July 5, 1967 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Jesse Ashworth and Phyllis Smith Sisco. He grew up in Coffeyville where he attended school. After school he was married and later divorced. He worked construction for several years until his health began to fail. Victor had a tumor removed from his lung and battled several health issues throughout his life. Victor most enjoyed collecting Indian art. He liked to draw he enjoyed the company of his dog, Casper and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Sisco of Coffeyville son, Jesse Purkey of Brownsboro, Texas daughters, Misti Purkey and Kayla Castro both of Coffeyville brothers, Shane George and wife Kelli , Waymond North and wife, Angela of all of Coffeyville, Bert Sisco and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Ashworth stepfather, Henry Sisco daughter, Angelica Purkey brother, Larry Thomas sister, Karen Sisco and granddaughter, Stormy Purkey. Cremation has taken place. The family will hold a memorial service on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church in Coffeyville, KS. Reverend Wayne Martin will officiate.
