Viola M. Head, age 102 of Osgood, Indiana died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville, Indiana.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the FordWulfBruns Chapel with the Reverend C.L. Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in the Robbins Cemetery under the direction of the FordWulfBruns Chapel.
Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the FordWulfBruns Chapel.
The family has suggested memorials to the American Cancer Society and contributions may be left at the FordWulfBruns Chapel.
Viola was born January 25, 1911 the daughter of Rose Truxell. She grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Independence, Kansas. Viola attended schools in Independence, Kansas.
On November 16, 1935 Viola married Jewel D. Head in Lenapah, Oklahoma, the couple made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas. Viola was a homemaker and a member of the First Nazarene Church.
Survivors include one son Harlan Head of Coffeyville, Kansas two daughters Phyllis Sickler of Osgood, Indiana and Glenna Morgan of Coffeyville, Kansas seven grandchildren, Brian Morgan, Sherry Matlock, Jobea Omstead, Twila Winkle, Keith Sickler, Bret Sickler and Heath Head 21 great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren 5 great great grandchildren and 4 step great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
