Virgil M. Patchett 1926 2007 Virgil M. Patchett, age 81, entered into rest on February 19, 2007 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, Coffeyville. Virgil was born January 30, 1926 in Coffeyville, Kansas to McClellan Bub Patchett and Eva Vastella Daniels Patchett. He attended Cedar Bluff School as a child. Virgil worked for United Brick and Tile, Acme Foundry for 17 years. He later was a self employed carpenter and brick amp; layer. On November 10, 1945 he married Barbara Good in Coffeyville, Kansas. They have been united in marriage for 61 years. His hobbies include taxidermy, farming, gardening and coon hunting. Survivors include his wife Barbara of the home, one daughter, Kathleen Mathis of Boynton Beach, Florida and three sons, Lawrence McClellan Patchett amp; VirgilButch Patchett, Jr. both of Coffeyville; Donald Ray Patchett of Independence. 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson 3 brothers, Wayne Patchett, Wenamoka, Nevada; Garland Patchett, Idaho, Kenneth Patchett, Havasau, Arizona; 1 sister, Wanda Jean Frank, Blackfoot, Idaho He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Carl Patchett, one grandson, Michael Glen Patchett. Calling hours visitation: Mr. Patchett will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, February 22, 2007at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave, Coffeyville. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Spring Hill Cemetery, North of Coffeyville. Rev. Mike Elrod will be officiating.
