Virgil Lee Riley 1926 - 2006 Virgil Lee Riley, age 79, Coffeyville, Kansas resident entered into rest on March 21, 2006 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, Coffeyville, Kansas. He was born May 13, 1926, in Welch, Oklahoma, the son of Lewis and Ruby Jenks Riley. Virgil was a truck driver having worked Glen Harvey Trucking. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion. He married Alice C. Orms March 20, 1964. She survives Other survivors include: 3 Sons: Steve Riley Welch, Oklahoma Virgil Eugene Riley Wray, Colorado Virgil Harry Orms Coffeyville, Kansas 6 Daughters: Sharon Connors Chetopa, Kansas Diane Riley Nowata, Oklahoma Teresa Carpenter Dearing, Kansas Linda Smith Wichita, Kansas Nina Lee Rogers, Arkansas Christine Allison Coffeyville, Kansas 21 Grandchildren 36 Great Grandchildren 1 Sister: Delores Collins Chetopa, Kansas He was preceded in death by one daughter Ruby Cease and one brother Bob Riley. Funeral services will take place 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2004, at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service. Mr. Riley will lie in state from 1-9:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and the family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the organization of the donors choice.
