Virgil Warren Scott, 71, of Coffeyville, Kansas died Sunday, December, 17, 2009 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 18, 1938 in a small family home five miles outside of Blue Mound, Kansas to Nathaniel Scott and Lula Marie Canatsey. Virgil graduated from Fort Scott High School in 1956 and married Dorothy Mae Stumfall in Miami, Oklahoma, on September 28, 1960 . They were later
orced. He made his home in Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Coffeyville in 1964. Virgil was a 32nd degree Mason who loved the country life and his dogs. He was the owner and operator of Touch of Class and 14th Street Bars in Coffeyville. His personal motto wasBe true to yourself. Virgil was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include daughters; Angelia Decker of Independence, Kansas and Sheryl Harrington of San Antonio, Texas, brothers: Gerald Scott of Claremore, Oklahoma and George Scott of Fort Scott, Kansas, sister Charlene Bushner of Lees Summit, Missouri, and grandchildren: Jerad Cook, Andrew Cook and JD Harrington. Funeral services for Virgil Warren Scott will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Interment will follow at 1:00PM on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Blue Mound Cemetery in Blue Mound, Kansas.
