Wanda Conger

Wanda Louise Conger, age 87, of Coffeyville, Kansas died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Wanda was born September 30, 1925 in Coffeyville, Kansas to John Frank and Lizzie Lou Irene Creason Battagler. Wanda grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas and attended schools in Coffeyville. She worked at a Diner and the ammunition plant in Parsons, Kansas.

In 1945 Wanda married Vernon Howard Conger Sr. in Independence, Kansas the couple made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas. Vernon preceded her in death in 2000.

Survivors include one daughter Carol Sue Conger of Coffeyville, Kansas three sons Vernon Conger Jr. of Coffeyville, Kansas, Clarence Conger of Alabama and Larry Joe Conger of Coffeyville, Kansas one brother James Frank Battagler of Coffeyville, Kansas one sister Rosie McNutt of Downey, CA one step brother Paul Crandell of Dearing, Kansas one step sister Juanita Battagler of Wichita, Kansas 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters Betty Lou Conger and Nancy Ann Conger and 18 brothers and sisters.
