Warner Earnest Carson, 87, of Coffeyville, Kansas died February 21, 2010 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. He was born February 22, 1922 in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma to John Franklin Carson and Laura Frantz Carson. Warner farmed and raised cattle with his father in Nowata County until his marriage to Thelma Martin in Nowata on February 8, 1950. He worked as a lineman for Caney Electric Company for several years and OlinDixon Industries. Warner also spent 40 years working for the Stockyards in Coffeyville. He retired from Funk Manufacturing Company. He served on the Rural School Board, was a Farm Bureau Member and member of Masonic Keystone Lodge 102 of Coffeyville. Warners greatest pleasures came from family activities including his childrens and grandchildrens sporting events. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Frances Turney and brotherinlaw Coyle Turney. Survivors include wife Thelma of the home, son Tim J. Carson and daughterinlaw Charlotte, granddaughter Staci Franklin and husband Dusty, grandson Tim Alan Carson and wife Melissa. Funeral services for Warner Earnest Carson were held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at PenwellGabel Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Interment followed at Restlawn Cemetery in Coffeyville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to: Christian Cowboy Ministry Building Fund, Caney, Kansas.
