Warren D. Fast, 90, of Coffeyville, Kansas died Saturday October 31, 2009 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. He was born November 14, 1918 in a log cabin in rural Pawnee, Oklahoma to John Day Fast and Myrtle Bowen. Warren married Elsie Mae Brooks in 1949 and he worked as a boilermaker for 37 years at the Coffeyville Co-Op. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He loved his family and God. Warren was preceded in death by daughter Frances Hodges Harris in 2002. He is survived by his loving wife Elsie of the home, sons: Phillip Fast and Logan Pete Hodges, grandchildren; Stephen Harris and Natalie Hodges, great-grandchildren: Alexis Harris, Nicholas Harris, Christian Harris and Logan Hodges. Funeral services for Warren D. Fast will be held Friday, November 6, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Coffeyville followed by interment in Robbins Cemetery in Coffeyville. Mr. Fast will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Coffeyville from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5.
