Longtime Coffeyville resident, Wilbur Miller, 87, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. Wilbur was born on Nov. 1, 1920 in Lodiburg, KY, the son of Jesse C.T. Miller and Lyn Beard Miller. On August 4, 1944 he married Velma Holderbaum in Coffeyville, Kansas. She preceded him in death on Sept. 24, 2006. Survivors include: 2 sons, Gary L. Miller and wife Peggy, Coffeyville, KS and Donald D. Miller and wife Michelle, Nashville, TN; 3 granddaughters, Michelle L. Martinez and Tiffany D. Miller, Coffeyville and Brittany Bryant, Cherryvale, KS, great granddaughter, Monica L. Miller, Coffeyville, KS and one brother, Carl Miller of KY. Wilbur served as a Medic in WWII. Willie, as he was known to his friends, worked for Phillips Steel and Scrap Metal for 57 years. He has been a member of the Walnut Grove Church in Lodiburg, KY since the age of seven. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 2, 2008 at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville, KS. Friends may call on Thursday from 1p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel of Coffeyville.
