WildonFrank Smith April 13, 1926 February 6, 2007 WildonFrank Smith, age 80, Coffeyville resident entered into rest on February 6, 2007 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, Coffeyville, Kansas. Frank was born April 13, 1926 in Natchitoches, Louisiana to William Franklin Smith and Eva Dale Bates Smith. He joined the US Navy and served from 1943 1946 during WWII where he was stationed in San Diego, California. Frank met his wife Dorothy Madeline Morris while he was serving in the U.S. Navy. They were united in marriage on February 1, 1946 in Yuma, Arizona. Mr. Smith worked for Ryan Aircraft in San Diego, California, Katy Railroad, Junges Bakery for 23 years, Bank IV, Countrymart all of Coffeyville. Frank and Dorothy were longtime members of the Holy Name Catholic Church, Coffeyville. Frank was also a member of the Teamsters Union. Survivors include: three sons, Curtis F. Smith, Coffeyville; Terry L. Smith, Independence, KS.; Timothy James Smith, Tulsa, OK.; two daughters, Marilyn Torrance, Winfield, KS; Rita Johnson, Ponca City, OK.; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; five brothers, Wayne Smith, Princeton, LA; Dwane Smith, Longstreet, LA; Clifford Smith, Willis, TX; Bobby Smith, Stonewall, LA; Billy Smith, Shreveport, LA.; three sisters, Yvonne Rogers, Shreveport, LA; Freddie Gandy, Longstreet, LA; Nancy Brazzel, Deberry, TX. Frank was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Madeline Smith, one twin infant daughter, Carolyn, his parents and 4 brothers, J.D., George, Donnie amp; Ronnie Smith A rosary service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Friday evening February 9, 2007 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave, Coffeyville. A funeral mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery. Father Jerome Spexarth of the Holy Name Catholic Church will be officiating. Visitationcalling hours: Mr. Smith will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2007 at the Penwell-Gabel For-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave, Coffeyville. Military rites will be conducted by the VFW Post 1022 Coffeyville, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be given to American Lung Association or American Cancer Society co Funeral Home.
