Dr. William C.Bill Hall, 85, of Coffeyville, went to his eternal rest Saturday evening at Coffeyville Regional Medical. William Carlton Hall, Jr. was born September 7, 1923 at Coffeyville, Kansas the son of William Carlton Hall and Edna McCullough Hall. He attended Coffeyville Schools. He then attended Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and received his Doctorate in September of 1944. While at Kansas State University, he served with the United States Army and was discharged as a 1St. Lieutenant. Following his discharge, he established his Veterinary practice in Elburn, Illinois. His practice in Illinois spanned a 34 year period. Dr. Hall returned to Coffeyville in 1978 and began his second a career in cattle ranching. He was a lifetime member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Illinois Veterinary Medical Association and Co-founded the Northern Illinois Veterinary Spring Clinic. He was also a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity and the Masonic Lodge, Blackberry Lodge in Elburn, Illinois. On October 12, 1945 in Elburn, Illinois, he was united in marriage to Helen L. Reeves. She survives at the home. Additional survivors include: 3 sons, William C. Hall, III and his wife Vicky of Atlanta, Georgia, Robert J. Hall and his wife Alison of Lake St. Louis, Missouri and James B. Hall, DVM and his wife Sandra of Bucyrus, Kansas; 7 grandchildren, William Christopher Hall, Jessica D. Hall Cantrell, Misty D. Hall, Michelle C. Hall, Matthew D. Hall, Brandon M. Hall and Michelle L. Hall; and three great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Nicole and Tristan Cantrell. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Penwell-Gabel Ford Wulf Bruns Chapel with the Reverend Steve Posey, pastor of the South Coffeyville, Oklahoma Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at the Penwell-Gabel Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The family suggests memorial remembrances to the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and remembrances will be received at the funeral home.
