William Heady

William Bill D. Heady age 54, of Wichita, Kansas passed away in his home on Wednesday, January 16, 2013.

Bill was born on October 19, 1958 to Warren and Ruby Pierce Heady in Coffeyville, Kansas. He grew up in Coffeyville, graduating from Field Kindley Memorial High School in 1976. Bill joined the Coffeyville Police Department out of high school as a dispatcher and then became the K9 Officer for the department. He later then joined the Kansas Highway Patrol living in Garnett, Burlington, Topeka and last in Wichita, Kansas.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 am at the FordWulfBruns Chapel. Father Ben Nguyen will be officiating. Friends may sign the register from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, January 18, 2013.
Bill is survived by his mother, Ruby of Coffeyville one son, Cale Heady of Wichita, Kansas one daughter, Brandy Martin and husband Jeff of Overland Park, Kansas sisters, Susan McCool of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Debra Ott of Bristow, Oklahoma, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Megan brother, Warren Dale and his father.
