Wilma Frances Bigbie, 95, of Cherryvale Care Center, Cherryvale, Kansas, died early Sunday morning, December 21, 2008. Graveside services will be held 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Robbins Cemetery, west of Coffeyville with Rev. Stephen Heslip of Coffeyville39;s First Southern Baptist Church officiating. Service and interment are under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Wilma was born June 27, 1913 at Greenville, Tennessee to Coy Edward and Monte Lee Brown Ervin and moved to Carnegie, Oklahoma with her family. She grew up in Carnegie and attended Carnegie High School. On August 8, 1931, she married Archie E. Bigbie. The couple made their home near Carnegie, where they farmed. They moved to Caney, Kansas in 1951 and then to Coffeyville in 1952. Survivors include a son, Kenneth Bigbie of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie; by a daughter, Charlene Greeley; by three sisters, Barbara Prather, Pauline Armitage and Ruby Manring; by a brother, Luke Ervin and one grandson, Chris Greeley.
