Wilma Buckner January 10, 1913 October 16, 2006 Wilma Buckner, age 93, longtime Coffeyville resident, entered into rest on October 16, 2006 at Windsor Place, Coffeyville, Kansas. Wilma was born January 10, 1913 in Steelville, Missouri to Thomas Edward Buckner and Mattie Tompkins Buckner. She was a 1931 graduate of Field Kindley Memorial High School. Ms. Buckner was sales manager for the Buckner Furniture Store for many years. Buckner Furniture was owned and operated by her parents, her brother and later her nephews. Ms. Buckner was a member of the First Baptist Church, Coffeyville, Kansas. Also Hillcrest Womens Golf Association, Adams Womens Golf Association of Bartlesville, Ok.; Tulsa District Womens Golf Association. Hobbies include: fishing, boating, golfing and most all of spending time with her family. Survivors include: Lifetime friend of 70 plus years, Eleanor Kee, Coffeyville, Kansas; Two nephews, Craig Buckner, Coffeyville, Brad Buckner, Republic, Missouri; Two nieces, Margaret Buckner Smith, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Betty Buckner Parmley, Warsaw, Missouri, and a host of great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Richard, Robert and Willis Buckner amp; one infant sister; two nephews, Jack Buckner amp; Robert Buckner and two nieces, Rosemary Buckner Karr amp; Barbara Buckner. Visitationcalling hours: Ms. Buckners body will lie in state on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Coffeyville, Kansas. Rev. Wayne Norton will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville, Kansas.
