Wilma Clapp, age 71, of Coffeyville, KS entered into rest on Monday, August 30, 2010 in Pemberton, Minnesota. She was born on March 31, 1939 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Silas and Pearl Burr Ferguson. On October 18, 1964 she married William Bill R. Clapp in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2006. The couple made their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma where Bill worked as a produce manager for Safeway. They later made their home in Coffeyville where Wilma worked twenty two years as head cook for U.S.D. 445. Wilma loved spending time wither her family, friends and dogGiGi. Survivors are her children, Scott Clapp, Kevin Clapp and wife Sheila of Edna, Kansas, Gina Martin and husband Shorty of Coffeyville, Kansas, Tonya Brashear and husband Keith of Pemberton, Minnesota sisters, Mary Jane Thomas and husband Jack of Tulsa, OK, Doris Ann Chaffin of Claremore, OK and grandchildren, Jesse Inman, Jessica Grundy, Amanda Clapp, Dillon Brashear, Steven King, J.J. Martin a niece Bobby Lewellen and her motherinlaw Dorothy Freeman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Silas and Pearl loving husband, Bill and sister, Billy Jo Waltrip. Friends may call on Friday, September 3, 2010 at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. to sign the guest register. Family will greet friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville. Pastor Danny Strange will officiate. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Central Nazarene Church of Coffeyville.
