Wilma Lee Galindo, 71, formerly of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at her home in Joplin, Missouri.
Wilma was born on July 14, 1943 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Merle and Francis Allen Kincheloe. She grew up and received her education in Coffeyville, graduating from Field Kindley High School. She also took classes at Coffeyville Community College. On December 29, 1963 she was united in marriage to the love of her life Ron Galindo in Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Coffeyville. Wilma worked for Parmac, Beneficial Finance and Montgomery County Health Department until her retirement in 1995. Her husband Ron worked for the Coffeyville Fire Department until his retirement. Wilma then moved to San Antonio, Texas to be near her daughter for seven years until 2002 when she and Ron moved to Joplin, Missouri.
Wilma enjoyed old western movies, playing cards and board games. Most of all she loved attending church at the Destiny Church in Joplin.
Surviving to honor her memory is her loving husband Ron of the home son, Mitchell Galindo and wife, Angie of Seneca, Missouri daughter, Kristi Jewett and husband, Scott of Schertz, Texas grandchildren, AJ Fry, Matthew Fry, Jacob Fry, Alex Galindo, Cade Galindo one great grandchild on the way sisters, Merlene Hanson of California, Billie Jean Lalama and husband, Tony of Fountain Valley, California and Carolyn Stice of Independence, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Francis and her youngest sister, Sharon Wolf.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Doug Mund will officiate.
